George St North Partial Closure

Place Management NSW (a NSW Government agency who manages The Rocks precinct) sought to advantage its tenants along George St North by closing the north bound lane and convert the space into open air dining and seating.

 

This has led to traffic being diverted into Millers Point via Harrington St and Argyle St. With north-bound traffic blocked, retail businesses in Walsh Bay have also been adversely affected.  Along with the Walsh Bay Precinct Association, we seek the immediate resumption of two-way traffic on George St North. Our submission is attached.
